Death by Chocolate

This is a very chocolaty dessert. It is so good that, at my wedding, it was gone before we ever got through with our receiving line. Yey for freeloaders eating my food! I blame Jon (both for posting this for Leah and for any annoyances that occurred during my wedding... just because).

Ingredients:
  • 2 boxes of 9x13 brownie mix
  • 2 large boxes of chocolate pudding mix
  • 5 cups cold milk
  • 2 containers of 8 oz. cool whip
  • 1 large Hershey bar or chocolate chips
  • 2 King Size Butterfingers
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions:
  1. Bake brownies and let cool.
  2. Mix pudding and milk according to directions.
  3. Chop candy into small pieces.
  4. Crumble 1 pan of brownies into a large punch bowl.
  5. Pour 1/2 of the pudding over the brownies.
  6. Put 1 container of cool whip over pudding.
  7. Sprinkle half of the candy & nuts onto cool whip.
  8. Repeat all layers.
  9. Chill.

  1. That sounds AMAZING! Any suggestions on what brownie mix(es) work best? :)

  2. Be inventive. If you know a particular brand you like, i'd say start w/ that. But if they have other flavors that might go good w/ this mixture (like fudge, chocolate chunk, caramel, cream cheese, espresso... ect.), i really doubt it will make you sad to try 'em.
